Hey, I love the look of your world. The textures, the color, the scale feels very unique; It feels personal but also dreamlike / surreal. Practically speaking - I would put some kind of invisible walls around the level if you don't want your player to fall off the world - and also cover up the back of the structure unless you want it to be exposed like that - in my opinion, it feels like a break from the immersion and mood that is first experienced right from the beginning.. Try adding some basic background sound as well and see how it feels - however small, even a little bit of atmospheric sound will help set the stage and immerse the player! I think even recording something from your phone and processing it slightly (adding some effects?) might fit the vibe of the scene very well in my opinion. or something completely alien might also work very well! but just try to play a bit with sound.
I also really like the feeling of being trapped in the atrium of the building as soon as you walk in - i can see this going somewhere else.. remember you can also make a single sound when this change happens and the player is entrapped.. added a sound to this might make feel this moment feel more intense and intentional.
Brainstorming here.. but you can change the scene based on a timer once they get into the atrium, or teleport them somewhere else to another part of the scene - this way you wouldn’t need to model inside of this building necessarily in order to continue the journey.. Let me know if you need help with figuring this out! I liked this environment so much I wanted to see where it is going!! - craving more :)
